Costume designing is about storytelling, and not about fashion. It needs a wide range of cultural knowledge base, not only in terms of fashion, but also art, literature, film, and textiles.It is not about dressing an actor but actually dressing a character right. It is done through designing, sewing, researching and purchasing actual clothing, by selecting and designing the accessories and props which help to define each character.

  

Divvya & Nidhhi work closely with the Directors, they are responsible for building the visual identity of the character, from the page to a real life representation of clothed people. They closely work with the Production Designers and Cinematographers to make sure the costumes fit in with the overall vision and work with the chosen lighting and camera angles. And also collaborate with the hair and make-up team to make sure a cohesive look is created.
